أَخْبَرَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرٍو عَنْ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
تَلَقَّى عِيسَى عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ حُجَّتَهُ لَقَّاهُ اللهُ فِي قَوْلِهِ {وَإِذْ قَالَ اللهُ يَا عِيسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ أَأَنْتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُونِي وَأُمِّيَ إِلَهَيْنِ مِنْ دُونِ اللهِ} [المائدة 116] قَالَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَلَقَّاهُ اللهُ {قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ مَا يَكُونُ لِي أَنْ أَقُولَ} [المائدة 116] الْآيَةَ كُلَّهَا

✧ ʿĪsā ﷺ received his argument which Allah gave him in His saying: {And when Allah said, “O ʿĪsā, son of Maryam, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as two gods besides Allah’?”} [al-Ma'idah: 116]. Abu Hurayrah reported from the Prophet ﷺ: Allah gave him the words {He said, “Glory be to You! It is not for me to say…”} [al-Ma'idah: 116], the entire verse.
