أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ وَأَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

قَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فِي النَّاسِ فَوَعَظَهُمْ وَقَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّكُمْ مَحْشُورُونَ إِلَى اللهِ حُفَاةً عُرَاةً غُرْلًا» ثُمَّ قَرَأَ {كَمَا بَدَأْنَا أَوَّلَ خَلْقٍ نُعِيدُهُ وَعْدًا عَلَيْنَا إِنَّا كُنَّا فَاعِلِينَ} [الأنبياء 104] فَيُجَاءُ بِرِجَالٍ مِنْ أُمَّتِي فَيُؤْخَذُ بِهِمْ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ فَأَقُولُ يَا رَبِّ أُمَّتِي أُمَّتِي فَيُقَالُ هَلْ تَعْلَمُ مَا أَحْدَثُوا بَعْدَكَ؟ فَأَقُولُ كَمَا قَالَ الْعَبْدُ الصَّالِحُ {وَكُنْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ شَهِيدًا مَا دُمْتَ فِيهِمْ} [المائدة 117] إِلَى {الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ} [المائدة 118] فَيُقَالُ إِنَّهُمْ لَمْ يَزَالُوا مُرْتَدِّينَ عَلَى أَعْقَابِهِمْ مُنْذُ فَارَقْتَهُمْ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood among the people, admonished them, and said, “O people, you will be gathered to Allah barefoot, naked, and uncircumcised.” Then he recited: {As We began the first creation, We will repeat it—a promise binding upon Us; indeed, We will do it} [al-Anbiya': 104]. Then men from my Ummah will be brought, and they will be taken to the left side. I will say, “My Lord, my Ummah, my Ummah!” It will be said, “Do you know what they introduced after you?” I will say, as the righteous servant said: {And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them} [al-Ma'idah: 117] up to {the Mighty, the Wise} [al-Ma'idah: 118]. Then it will be said, “They did not cease turning back on their heels since you left them.”
