أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ هِصَّانَ بْنِ الْكَاهِنِ وَكَانَ أَبُوهُ كَاهِنًا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ الصَّوَّافِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي هِصَّانُ بْنُ الْكَاهِنِ الْعَدَوِيُّ قَالَ جَلَسْتُ مَجْلِسًا فِيهِ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ وَلَا أَعْرِفُهُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ جَبَلٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ نَفْسٌ تَمُوتُ لَا تُشْرِكُ بِاللهِ شَيْئًا تَشْهَدُ أَنِّي رَسُولُ اللهِ يَرْجِعُ ذَاكُمْ إِلَى قَلْبٍ مُوقِنٍ إِلَّا غُفِرَ لَهَا» قُلْتُ أَنْتَ سَمِعْتَهُ مِنْ مُعَاذٍ؟ فَعَنَّفَنِي الْقَوْمُ فَقَالَ دَعُوهُ فَإِنَّهُ لَمْ يُسِئِ الْقَوْلَ نَعَمْ أَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ مُعَاذٍ زَعَمَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ 10911 أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَبِيبُ بْنُ الشَّهِيدِ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ هِصَّانَ بْنِ الْكَاهِنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمِثْلِهِ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “There is no soul on earth that dies without associating anything with Allah, bearing witness that I am the Messenger of Allah, with that returning to a certain heart, except that it is forgiven.” I said: “Did you hear it from Muadh?” The people rebuked me, but he said: “Leave him, for he did not speak badly. Yes, I heard it from Muadh, who claimed that he heard it from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.” 10911 Amr b. Ali informed us; he said: Ibn Abi Adiy narrated to us; he said: Habib b. al-Shahid narrated to us, from Humayd b. Hilal, from Hissan b. al-Kahin, from Abd al-Rahman b. Samurah, from Muadh b. Jabal, from the Prophet ﷺ, with the like of it.
