أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا طَلْقُ بْنُ السَّمْحِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا نَافِعُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ
سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ الرِّيحُ مِنْ رَوْحِ اللهِ تُرْسَلُ بِالرَّحْمَةِ وَتُرْسَلُ بِالْعَذَابِ فَلَا تَسُبُّوهَا وَقُولُوا اللهُمَّ إِنَّا نَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا وَنَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا

✧ I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: “The wind is from the spirit of Allah; it is sent with mercy and it is sent with punishment. So do not curse it. Rather say: O Allah, we ask You for its good and we seek refuge in You from its evil.”
