أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ رَبِّ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ
إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَرَى الرُّؤْيَا فَتُمْرِضُنِي فَغَدَوْتُ عَلَى أَبِي قَتَادَةَ قَالَ كُنْتُ لَأَرَى الرُّؤْيَا فَتُمْرِضُنِي حَتَّى سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ «إِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ مَا يُحِبُّ فَلَا يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا إِلَّا مَنْ يُحِبُّ وَإِذَا رَأَى مَا يَكْرَهُ فَلْيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلَاثًا وَلْيَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ وَشَرِّهَا ثَلَاثًا وَلَا يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا أَحَدًا فَإِنَّهَا لَا تَضُرُّهُ» 10665 أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مَنْ رَأَى رُؤْيَا تُعْجِبُهُ» مُرْسَلٌ

✧ I used to see dreams that would make me ill, so I went to Abu Qatadah, and he said, 'I used to see dreams that would make me ill until I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he said, "When one of you sees what he loves, he should not tell it except to one he loves. And when he sees what he dislikes, let him spit to his left three times and seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan and from its evil three times, and not tell it to anyone, for it will not harm him."' 10665 Ahmad b. Sulayman informed us, he said: 'Ubayd Allah narrated to us, from Isra'il, from Abu Ishaq, from Abu Salamah, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever sees a dream that pleases him"—mursal.
