أَخْبَرَنَا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ مَسْعَدَةَ الْبَصْرِيُّ عَنْ سُلَيْمٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَخْضَرَ عَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي بَكْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْمُزَنِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ قَالَ
صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ صَلَاةَ الْعِشَاءِ يَعْنِي الْعَتَمَةَ فَقَرَأَ إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْشَقَّتْ فَسَجَدَ فِيهَا فَلَمَّا فَرَغَ قُلْتُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ هَذِهِ السَّجْدَةُ مَا كُنَّا نَسْجُدُهَا قَالَ «سَجَدَ بِهَا أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ وَأَنَا خَلْفَهُ فَلَا أَزَالُ أَسْجُدُ بِهَا حَتَّى أَلْقَى أَبَا الْقَاسِمِ ﷺ»

✧ I prayed behind Abu Hurayrah the 'Isha' prayer, meaning al-'Atamah. He recited, "When the sky has split," and prostrated therein. When he finished, I said, "O Abu Hurayrah, this prostration we did not used to prostrate." He said, "Abu al-Qasim ﷺ prostrated therein while I was behind him, so I will not cease prostrating therein until I meet Abu al-Qasim ﷺ."
