أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ مَالِكٍ عَنْ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ أَسْلَمَ قَالَ مَا نِمْتُ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ قَالَ

لَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «مِنْ أَيِّ شَيْءٍ؟» قَالَ لَدَغَتْنِي عَقْرَبٌ قَالَ أَمَا إِنَّكَ لَوْ قُلْتَ حِينَ أَمْسَيْتَ أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللهِ التَّامَّاتِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ لَمْ يَضُرُّكَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ شَيْءٌ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him: 'From what thing?' He said: 'A scorpion stung me.' He said: 'Indeed, if you had said when you reached the evening: "I seek refuge in the perfect words of Allah from the evil of what He has created," nothing would have harmed you, if Allah wills.'
