أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا يَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمُ اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي إِنْ شِئْتَ وَلَكِنْ لِيَعْزِمِ الْمَسْأَلَةَ فَإِنَّ اللهَ تَعَالَى لَا مُسْتَكْرِهَ لَهُ
Translation

✧ From the Prophet ﷺ, he said: Let not one of you say: 'O Allah, forgive me if You will.' Rather, let him be resolute in asking, for Allah, exalted is He, is not compelled by anyone.
