أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ وَإِسْرَائِيلَ وَفِطْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ قَالَ

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا قَدِمَ مِنْ سَفَرٍ قَالَ «آيِبُونَ تَائِبُونَ عَابِدُونَ لِرَبِّنَا حَامِدُونَ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ لَمْ يَسْمَعْهُ مِنَ الْبَرَاءِ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Aḥmad b. Sulaymān

  3. Sufyān and ʾIsrāʾīl Wafiṭr
  4. Abū Isḥāq
  5. al-Barāʾ b. ʿĀzib

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ arrived from a journey, he would say: 'Returning, repentant, worshipping, to our Lord praising.' Abu Abd al-Rahman said: Abu Ishaq did not hear it from al-Bara.
