✧ Invocation for those who do not ride horses

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ قَيْسٍ سَمِعْتُ جَرِيرًا يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أَلَا تَكْفِينِي ذَا الْخَلَصَةِ؟» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي رَجُلٌ لَا أَثْبُتُ عَلَى الْخَيْلِ فَضَرَبَ فِي صَدْرِي وَقَالَ «اللهُمَّ ثَبِّتْهُ وَاجْعَلْهُ هَادِيًا مَهْدِيًّا» فَخَرَجْتُ فِي خَمْسِينَ مِنْ قَوْمِي فَأَتَيْنَاهَا فَأَحْرَقْنَاهَا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: ‘Will you not suffice me concerning Dhu al-Khalasah?’ I said: O Messenger of Allah, I am a man who cannot remain steady on horses. He struck my chest and said: ‘O Allah, make him steadfast and make him a guide, rightly guided.’ I went out with fifty men of my people, came to it, and burned it.
