✧ Sayyid of Istighfar and the reward of those who practice it

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَخْبَرَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ ثَعْلَبَةَ الطَّائِيُّ عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مَنْ قَالَ حِينَ يُصْبِحُ أَوْ حِينَ يُمْسِي فَمَاتَ مِنْ يَوْمِهِ أَوْ مِنْ لَيْلَتِهِ دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ مَنْ قَالَ اللهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِكَ وَوَعْدِكَ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُ أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا صَنَعْتُ أَبُوءُ بِنِعْمَتِكَ وَأَبُوءُ بِذَنْبِي فَاغْفِرْ لِي إِنَّهُ لَا يَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said: Whoever says when he reaches morning or when he reaches evening, and then dies that day or that night, enters Paradise: O God, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You created me, and I am Your servant. I am upon Your covenant and Your promise as much as I am able. I seek refuge in You from the evil of what I have done. I acknowledge Your favor, and I acknowledge my sin. So forgive me. Indeed, none forgives sins but You.
