✧ How to seek forgiveness

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَعِيدُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ وَهُوَ الْمُكْتِبُ مَوْلَى بَنِي زُهْرَةَ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ يُحَدِّثُ

عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ بْنِ خَبَّابٍ قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ كَيْفَ نَسْتَغْفُرُ؟ قَالَ قُولُوا اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا وَتُبْ عَلَيْنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الرَّحِيمُ

Translation

✧ From Muslim b. al-Sa'ib b. Khabbab: They said: O Messenger of God, how should we seek forgiveness? He said: Say: O God, forgive us and have mercy on us and turn to us (in mercy). Indeed, You are the Ever-Relenting, the Merciful.
