✧ How to seek forgiveness

أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ وَهُوَ الْحَنَفِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سُوقَةَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

إِنْ كُنَّا لَنَعُدُّ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فِي الْمَجْلِسِ الْوَاحِدِ مِائَةَ مَرَّةٍ يَقُولُ «رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي وَتُبْ عَلَيَّ إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ التَّوَّابُ الْغَفُورُ»

Translation

✧ We used to count for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in a single sitting a hundred times, saying, “My Lord, forgive me and accept my repentance; indeed You are the Accepter of Repentance, the Forgiving.”
