أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ حَصِينٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ الرِّيَاحِيِّ قَالَ

قَالُوا يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ مَا كَلِمَاتٌ سَمِعْنَاكَ تَقُولُهُنَّ؟ قَالَ كَلِمَاتٌ عَلَّمَنِيهِنَّ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ كَفَّارَةُ الْمَجْلِسِ سُبْحَانَكَ اللهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ 10190 أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ زِيَادٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ

Translation

✧ They said: O Messenger of Allah, what are the words that we heard you say? He said: “Words that Jibril ﷺ taught me, an expiation for the session: Glory be to You, O Allah, and with Your praise. I bear witness that there is no god but You. I ask Your forgiveness and I repent to You.” 10190 Ahmad b. Sulayman informed us saying: ‘Ubaydullah narrated to us, from Isra’il, from Mansur, from Fudayl b. ‘Umar, from Ziyad, from Abu al-‘Aliyah.
