أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ أَخْبَرَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ صُرَدٍ قَالَ

أَبْصَرَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ رَجُلًا فَذَكَرَ حَرْفًا فَغَضِبَ وَجَعَلَ يَقُولُ وَيَقُولُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا لَذَهَبَ عَنْهُ مَا يَجِدُ أَعُوذُ بِاللهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ saw a man and mentioned something, and he became angry and kept saying and saying. The Prophet ﷺ said, “I know a word which, if he said it, what he finds would leave him: Aʿūdhu billāhi min ash-shayṭān ar-rajīm (I seek refuge with Allah from the accursed Satan).”
