أَخْبَرَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا عَائِشُ هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامُ» قُلْتُ وَعَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ تَرَى مَا لَا أَرَى تُرِيدُ بِذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “O ʿAʾish, this is Jibril, and he sends you greetings of peace.” I said: “And upon him be peace and Allah’s mercy and His blessings. You see what I do not see,” meaning thereby the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.
