أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ أَخْبَرَنَا حَبَّانُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «يَا عَائِشَةُ هَذَا جِبْرِيلُ وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكِ السَّلَامُ» قَالَتْ قُلْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ تَرَى مَا لَا نَرَى تُرِيدُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَهَذَا الصَّوَابُ لِمُتَابَعَةِ شُعَيْبٍ وَابْنِ مُسَافِرٍ إِيَّاهُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: “O ʿAʾishah, this is Jibril, and he sends you greetings of peace.” She said: I said: “And upon you be peace and Allah’s mercy and His blessings. You see what we do not see,” meaning the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abu ʿAbd al-Rahman said: This is correct due to Shuʿayb and Ibn Musafir agreeing with him on that.
