أَخْبَرَنِي زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَفْصِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي حَدَّثَنِي جَدِّي إِبْرَاهِيمُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَبُو يُوسُفَ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا جَاءَ أَحَدُكُمْ إِلَى الْمَجْلِسِ فِيهِ الْقَوْمُ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ فَإِنْ جَلَسَ مَعَهُمْ فَإِذَا قَامَ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ مَا يَجْعَلُ الْأُولَى أَوْلَى مِنَ الْآخِرَةِ»

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When one of you comes to a gathering in which there are people, let him greet them with salam. If he sits with them, then when he stands, let him greet them with salam. The first is not more deserving than the last."
