أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ أَنَّ عَمْرَو بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ كَلَدَةَ بْنَ الْحَنْبَلِ
أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ صَفْوَانَ بْنَ أُمَيَّةَ بَعَثَهُ فِي الْفَتْحِ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِلَبَنٍ وَجَدَايَةٍ وَضَغَابِيسَ وَالنَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِأَعْلَى الْوَادِي قَالَ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَيْهِ وَلَمْ أُسَلِّمْ وَلَمْ أَسْتَأْذِنْ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ ارْجِعْ فَقُلِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَأَدْخُلُ؟ قَالَ وَذَلِكَ بَعْدَ أَنْ أَسْلَمَ صَفْوَانُ قَالَ عَمْرٌو فَأَخْبَرَنِي هَذَا الْخَبَرَ أُمَيَّةُ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ أَيْضًا وَلَمْ يَقُلْ أُمَيَّةُ سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ كَلَدَةَ

✧ He informed him that Safwan b. Umayyah sent him during the conquest to the Prophet ﷺ with milk, a young gazelle, and truffles, while the Prophet ﷺ was at the top of the valley. He said: I entered upon him without giving salutation and without seeking permission. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Go back and say: Peace be upon you, may I enter?" He said: That was after Safwan had embraced Islam. Amr said: Umayyah b. Safwan also informed me of this report, but Umayyah did not say: "I heard it from Kaladah."
