✧ The prohibition of the slave saying to his owner: "My Lord

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَقُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ عَبْدِي فَإنَّ كُلَّكُمْ عَبْدٌ وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ فَتَايَ وَلَا يَقُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ مَوْلَايَ فَإِنَّ مَوْلَاكُمُ اللهُ وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلْ سَيِّدِي

Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "None of you should say 'my slave,' for all of you are slaves. But let him say 'my young servant.' And none of you should say 'my lord,' for your Lord is Allah. But let him say 'my master.'"
