al-Sunan al-Kubra (al-Nasa'i) 1

✧ The ablution of the sleeping person when he gets up for prayer.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْقُرَشِيُّ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ سِنَانٍ النَّسَائِيُّ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِذَا اسْتَيْقَظَ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ نَوْمِهِ فَلَا يَغْمِسْ يَدَهُ فِي وَضُوئِهِ حَتَّى يَغْسِلَهَا ثَلَاثًا فَإِنَّهُ لَا يَدْرِي حَيْثُ بَاتَتْ يَدُهُ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ said: "When one of you wakes from his sleep, let him not dip his hand into his ablution water until he washes it three times, for he does not know where his hand spent the night."
