machine translationQutaybah b. Saʿīd and Abū Bakr b. Abī Shaybah narrated to us, they said: Ḥātim b. Ismāʿīl narrated to us. (Transfer of isnād) And Qutaybah narrated to us: ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz, meaning al-Darāwardī, narrated to us. Both of them from Jaʿfar, from his father, from ʿUbaydullāh b. Abī Rāfiʿ, he said: Marwān appointed Abū Hurayrah as his deputy. [The same] as it, except that in the narration of Ḥātim: "He recited Sūrat al-Jumuʿah in the first prostration and in the last {إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ}." And the narration of ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz is like the ḥadīth of Sulaymān b. Bilāl.
