Sahih Muslim 1575d

The command to kill dogs, and its abrogation. The prohibition of keeping dogs, except for hunting, farming, (herding) livestock and the like

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَخْبَرَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمِثْلِهِ

Translation

A hadith like this has been transmitted on the authority of Abu Huraira.
