حَدَّثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ وَيُونُسُ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا بَقِيَّةُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ عَنِ السَّرِيِّ بْنِ يَنْعُمَ عَنْ مَرِيحِ بْنِ مَسْرُوقٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ لَمَّا بَعَثَ بِهِ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ قَالَ: إِيَّاكَ وَالتَّنَعُّمَ فَإِنَّ عِبَادَ اللهِ لَيْسُوا بِالْمُتَنَعِّمِينَ

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent him to Yemen, he said: Beware of luxury, for the servants of Allah are not those who live in luxury.
