Looking at a Woman who is asked in Marriage, and an Explanation of what may not be seen - Section 2
وَعَنْ جَرْهَدٍ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ». رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيّ وَأَبُو دَاوُد
Translation
Jarhad reported the Prophet as saying, "Do you not know that the thigh is a private part?” Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud transmitted it.
