✧ We used to pray in the time of Umar ؓ on Friday, and when Umar ؓ came out and sat on the pulpit, we would cut off the prayer. We used to talk and he would talk to us, and perhaps a man would ask the one next to him about their market and their servants. When the muezzin became silent, he delivered the sermon, and we did not speak until he finished his sermon.
