✧ The ritual bath for Friday

قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ، عَنْ زَاذَانَ قَالَ:
إِنَّ رَجُلًا سَأَلَ عَلِيًّا ؓ عَنِ الْغُسْلِ ؟ فَقَالَ: اغْتَسِلْ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ إِنْ شِئْتَ قَالَ: لَا، بَلِ الْغُسْلُ: أَيِ الْمُسْتَحَبُّ، قَالَ: اغْتَسِلْ كُلَّ يَوْمِ جُمُعَةٍ، وَيَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ، وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ، وَيَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ

✧ A man asked ʿAlī ؓ about the ritual bath. He said, 'Bathe every day if you wish.' He said, 'No, rather the bath that is recommended.' He said, 'Bathe every Friday, on the day of Fiṭr, on the day of Sacrifice, and on the day of ʿArafa.'
