✧ Mu'awiyah b. Abi Sufyan ؓ led us in the Maghrib prayer, which is three [rak'ahs], and he stood up after two [rak'ahs]. The people glorified Allah to alert him, but he gestured to them [to remain silent]. When he completed his prayer and said the salam, he turned around and addressed them, saying: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do as you saw me do, and had I not seen him do it, I would not have done it.'
