✧ The Description of Paradise and Its People

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ شُرَحْبِيلَ، عَنِ اللَّيْثِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْخَيْرِ، قَالَ: قَالَ كَعْبٌ:

نَهَرُ النِّيلِ نَهَرُ الْعَسَلِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَنَهَرُ دِجْلَةَ نَهَرُ اللَّبَنِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَنَهَرُ الْفُرَاتِ نَهَرُ الْخَمْرِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، وَنَهَرُ سَيْحَانَ نَهَرُ الْمَاءِ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، قَالَ: فَأَطْفَأَ اللهُ تَعَالَى نُورَهُنَّ لِيُصَيِّرَهُنَّ فِي الْجَنَّةِ

✧ The river Nile is the river of honey in Paradise, the river Tigris is the river of milk in Paradise, the river Euphrates is the river of wine in Paradise, and the river Sayhan is the river of water in Paradise. He said: God Almighty extinguished their light to make them in Paradise.
