✧ The Killing of Ali, ᴿᴬ

وَحَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ، ثَنَا سُكَيْنٌ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ ؓ، مِثْلَهُ، وَزَادَ:

وَفِيهَا تِيبَ عَلَى بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ. وَزَادَ: وَأَنَّهُ مَا سَبَقَهُ أَحَدٌ كَانَ قَبْلَهُ، وَلَا يَلْحَقُهُ أَحَدٌ كَانَ بَعْدَهُ، وَإِنْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَيَبْعَثُهُ فِي السَّرِيَّةِ، جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَنْ يَمِينِهِ، وَمِيكَائِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، وَاللهِ مَا تَرَكَ ؓ صَفْرَاءَ وَلَا بَيْضَاءَ إِلَّا ثَمَانَمِائَةِ أَوْ سَبْعَمِائَةِ دِرْهَمٍ، أَرْصَدَهَا لِخَادِمٍ يَشْتَرِيهَا

Translation

✧ And in it, the Children of Israel were forgiven. He added: “And no one who came before him surpassed him, and no one who came after him will catch up with him. If the Prophet ﷺ sent him in a military expedition, Gabriel ﷺ was on his right and Michael ﷺ was on his left. By God, he ؓ did not leave behind any gold or silver except eight hundred or seven hundred dirhams, which he had set aside for a servant he intended to buy.”
