وَقَالَ الْحُمَيْدِيُّ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَمَّنْ أَخْبَرَهُ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ أَوِ الْحُسَيْنِ ؓ، قَالَ:
إِنَّ عَلِيًّا ؓ قَالَ: لَقِيَنِي حَبِيبِي ﷺ - يَعْنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ - نَبِيُّ اللهِ ﷺ، قَالَ: فَشَكَوْتُ إِلَيْهِ مَا لَقِيتُ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِرَاقِ بَعْدَهُ، فَوَعَدَنِي الرَّاحَةَ مِنْهُمْ، فَمَا لَبِثَ ؓ إِلَّا ثَلَاثًا
Translation

✧ ‘Ali ؓ said: “My beloved ﷺ met me” — meaning in a dream — “the Prophet of God ﷺ.” He said: “I complained to him of what I had encountered from the people of Iraq after him, and he promised me relief from them. He ؓ did not remain except three days.”
