وَقَالَ عَبْدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، ثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ، عَنْ أَبِي سِنَانٍ الدُّؤَلِيِّ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ قَالَ:
مَرِضَ عَلِيٌّ ؓ مَرَضًا خِفْنَا عَلَيْهِ مِنْهُ، ثُمَّ إِنَّهُ نَقِهَ وَصَحَّ، فَقُلْنَا: الْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي أَصَحَّكَ يَا أَمِيرَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَدْ كُنَّا خِفْنَا عَلَيْكَ مِنْ مَرَضِكَ هَذَا، قَالَ ؓ: لَكِنِّي لَمْ أَخَفْ عَلَى نَفْسِي
Translation

✧ ‘Ali ؓ fell ill with an illness that made us fear for him. Then he recovered and became well. We said: “Praise be to God who has restored you to health, O Commander of the Faithful. We had feared for you because of this illness of yours.” He said ؓ: “But I did not fear for myself.”
