✧ A group of the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ gathered, among them Ibn Mas'ud, Hudhayfa, Sa'd, Ibn Umar, and Ammar ؓ. Hudhayfa ؓ mentioned a tribulation and said: 'As for me, if I live to see it, I will know the way out of it.' Ibn Mas'ud ؓ said: 'And I, if I live to see it, will know the way out of it.' Sa'd ؓ said: 'As for me, if I live to see it and find a sword that says: "This is a believer, leave him; this is a disbeliever, kill him," then I will fight; otherwise I will not fight.' Ibn Umar ؓ said: 'And I am with you.' Ammar ؓ said: 'As for me, if I live to see it, I will take my sword, place it on my shoulder, then head toward its greatest mass and strike until they disperse.'
