✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave us a sermon before his death, and it was the last sermon he gave in Madinah until he joined Allah the Exalted. He mentioned the hadith in full, and in it: O people, my age has grown old, my bones have become thin, my body has been worn out, my soul has been announced to me, my term has drawn near, and I long for my Lord. Indeed this is the last covenant between me and you. As long as I am alive, you see me. When I die, Allah is my successor over every Muslim. Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings.
