قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ قَالَ:

( إِذَا كَانُوا ثَلَاثَةً يَتَقَدَّمُ أَحَدُهُمْ وَيَتَأَخَّرُ اثْنَانِ يَصُفَّانِ خَلْفَهُ ). قَالَ: وَجِئْتُ مَرَّةً فَقُمْتُ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ، فَأَقَامَنِي عَنْ يَمِينِهِ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  5. Ibn ʿUmar

✧ If they are three, one of them should go forward and the other two should line up behind him. He said: And I came once and stood at his left, so he moved me to his right.
