✧ Abu Dharr ؓ went out to al-Rabadhah, and his appointed time came. He instructed them: Wash me, shroud me, then place me on the main road. The first riders who pass by you, say: This is Abu Dharr, the Companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, so help us with his washing and burial. They did so. 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud ؓ came in a group of riders from Iraq, and the funeral bier had been placed on the main road. A boy went up to him and said: This is Abu Dharr, the Companion of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said: 'Abdullah b. Mas'ud ؓ wept and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: You will walk alone, die alone, and be resurrected alone.
