✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ bought a horse from a Bedouin, and the Bedouin denied it. Khuzaymah b. Thābit ؓ came and said: “O Bedouin, do you deny? I testify against you that you sold it.” The Bedouin said: “If Khuzaymah b. Thābit testifies against me, then give me the price.” The Messenger of God ﷺ said: “O Khuzaymah, we did not call you as a witness; how do you testify?” He ؓ said: “I believe you in the news of heaven; should I not believe you about this Bedouin?” The Messenger of God ﷺ made his testimony equal to that of two men. There was no man in Islam whose testimony counted as that of two men except Khuzaymah b. Thābit ؓ.
