وَبِهِ قَالَ خَالِدٌ ؓ:

مَا لَيْلَةٌ يُهْدَى إِلَى بَيْتِي فِيهَا عَرُوسٌ أَنَا لَهَا مُحِبٌّ، أَوْ أُبَشَّرَ فِيهَا بِغُلَامٍ، بِأَحَبَّ إِلَيَّ مِنْ لَيْلَةٍ شَدِيدَةِ الْجَلِيدِ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ مِنَ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ أُصَبِّحُ بِهَا الْعَدُوَّ

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ There is no night in which a bride is gifted to my house and I love her, or in which I am given glad tidings of a boy, more beloved to me than a night of severe frost in a detachment of warriors, in which I attack the enemy at dawn.
