وَقَالَ مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى فِي زِيَادَاتِ مُسَدَّدٍ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُكَيْسٍ الْخَادِمُ، ثَنَا ضَمْرَةُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ شَوْذَبٍ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ هُزَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ، قَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ:
لَوْ وُزِنَ إِيمَانُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ؓ بِإِيمَانِ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ لَرَجَحَ بِهِمْ
