  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationUsāmah b. Zayd and ʿAbdullāh b. Saʿīd narrate it from al-Maqburī, and there is disagreement about it from him. Ibn Abī Zāʾidah narrated it from ʿAbdullāh b. Saʿīd, from his father, from Abū Hurayrah. Mundal b. ʿAlī differed with him and said: from ʿUbaydullāh b. Saʿīd, from his grandfather Abū Saʿīd al-Maqburī. The statement of the one who said "from his father" is more likely correct. It was also said: from ʿAbdullāh b. Saʿīd, from his father, from his grandfather, from Abū Hurayrah; and it was said from him: from his grandfather, from Abū Hurayrah. Abū Muʿāwiyah said: from ʿAbdullāh b. Saʿīd, from his grandfather, from Abū Hurayrah. The disagreement stems from ʿAbdullāh b. Saʿīd b. Abī Saʿīd al-Maqburī, and he is weak (ḍaʿīf), discarded (dhāhib).
