قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ: حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، ثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ، عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ ؓ قَالَ:
إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ مَرَّ بِالْحِجْرِ مِنْ وَادِي ثَمُودَ فَقَالَ ﷺ: « أَسْرِعُوا السَّيْرَ، وَلَا تَنْزِلُوا بِهَذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الْمُهْلَكِ أَهْلُهَا
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by al-Hijr in the valley of Thamud and said ﷺ: 'Hasten your journey, and do not stay in this village whose people were destroyed.'
