✧ What Averts Calamity by Supplication

وَقَالَ إِسْحَاقُ: أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، ثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَ:

لَا بَأْسَ أَنْ تُؤَمِّنَ عَلَى دُعَاءِ الرَّاهِبِ إِذَا دَعَا لَكَ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّهُمْ يُسْتَجَابُ لَهُمْ فِينَا وَلَا يُسْتَجَابُ لَهُمْ فِي أَنْفُسِهِمْ

Translation

✧ There is no harm in saying “Amen” to the supplication of a monk when he supplicates for you. He said: “They are answered concerning us, but not answered concerning themselves.”
