✧ The Virtue of Supplication

قَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، ثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ خُنَيْسٍ، عَنْ ضِرَارِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنِ الرَّقَاشِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

« عَمَلُ الْبِرِّ كُلُّهِ نِصْفُ الْعِبَادَةِ، وَالدُّعَاءُ نِصْفٌ، فَإِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ تَعَالَى بِعَبْدٍ خَيْرًا انْتَحَى قَلْبُهُ لِلدُّعَاءِ

✧ All deeds of righteousness are half of worship, and supplication is half. When Allah, Exalted is He, wills good for a servant, He turns his heart to supplication.
