قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ؓ قَالَ:

إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ لِمُعَاذٍ ؓ: « مَا كُنْتَ سَاكِتًا فَأَنْتَ سَالِمٌ، فَإِذَا تَكَلَّمْتَ فَلَكَ أَوْ عَلَيْكَ

Translation

Chain of narrators

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said in the hadith to Muʿadh ؓ: “As long as you remain silent, you are safe. When you speak, it is either for you or against you.”
