machine translationThis chain is sound (ṣaḥīḥ), but it has a defect (ʿillah): more than one narrator related it from Abū Ḥāzim, from Saʿīd al-Maqburī, from Abū Hurayrah, may God be pleased with him, and it is by this route that al-Bukhārī cited it in suspended form (maʿlūq). So if Ḥammād b. Zayd memorized it, it is possible that he heard it by two routes.
