✧ Prohibition of Concealing Knowledge

وَقَالَ أَبُو يَعْلَى: حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَنْ سُئِلَ عَنْ عِلْمٍ، فَكَتَمَهُ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلْجَمًا بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ... وَمَنْ قَالَ فِي الْقُرْآنِ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍ جَاءَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ مُلْجَمًا بِلِجَامٍ مِنْ نَارٍ

✧ Whoever is asked about knowledge and conceals it will come on the Day of Resurrection bridled with a bridle of fire... And whoever speaks about the Qur'an without knowledge will come on the Day of Resurrection bridled with a bridle of fire.
