قَالَ مُسَدَّدٌ: حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، عَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِي عُمَرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ؓ:
مَا يَسُرُّنِي بِاخْتِلَافِ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ حُمْرُ النَّعَمِ، لِأَنَّا إِنْ أَخَذْنَا بِقَوْلِ هَؤُلَاءِ أَصَبْنَا، وَإِنْ أَخَذْنَا بِقَوْلِ هَؤُلَاءِ أَصَبْنَا
Translation
