✧ The Vastness of Allah's Mercy and Encouragement Toward Mercy

وَقَالَ الْحَارِثُ: حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَزْهَرِ قَالَ:
إِنَّ رَجُلًا مَرَّ بِفَرْخَيْ طَيْرٍ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَأَبُوهُمَا يَحُومُ عَلَيْهِمَا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: أَخَذْتَ هَذَيْنِ الْفَرْخَيْنِ، وَأَبُوهُمَا يَحُومُ عَلَيْهِمَا، أَلَا تَرَكْتَ لَهُ أَحَدَهُمَا، فَتَقَرَّ بِهِ عَيْنُهُ
Translation

✧ A man passed by the Prophet ﷺ with two chicks of a bird, while their father was hovering over them. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'You took these two chicks while their father is hovering over them. Why did you not leave one of them for him, so that his eye might be cooled by it?'
