✧ Deliberateness and Gentleness

وَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ مِنْ بَلِيٍّ، قَالَ:

دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَانْتَجَاهُ دُونِي، فَقُلْتُ: يَا أَبَهْ، أَيُّ شَيْءٍ قَالَ لَكَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ قَالَ: قَالَ ﷺ لِي: إِذَا هَمَمْتَ بِأَمْرٍ، فَعَلَيْكَ بِالتُّؤَدَةِ، حَتَّى يَأْتِيَكَ اللهُ بِالْمَخْرَجِ مِنْ أَمْرِكَ

Translation

✧ I entered with my father upon the Prophet ﷺ, and he whispered to him privately without me. I said: 'O father, what did the Messenger of God ﷺ say to you?' He said: 'He ﷺ said to me: "When you intend a matter, you must be deliberate until God brings you a way out of your affair."'
