✧ Prohibition of spying on private matters

وَقَالَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

الْمُسْلِمُ مِرْآةُ الْمُسْلِمِ، فَإِذَا رَأَى بِهِ شَيْئًا فَلْيَأْخُذْهُ

Translation

Chain of narrators

  3. Yaḥyá b. ʿUbaydullāh

  5. Abū Hurayrah
  6. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ

✧ The Muslim is the mirror of the Muslim, so if he sees something in him, let him remove it.
